Unsworth Funeral Service Terms and Conditions of Business

Unsworth Funeral Service is privately owned by Darren and Alison Unsworth and is an Independent Family Run Funeral Directors. Fees and settlement arrangements Funeral directors charges – These are charges made by the company for services rendered and products supplied together with a proportion of company overheads sufficient to cover a 7 day week 365 day a year Funeral Service, and the necessary personnel to ensure a high quality and effective Funeral Service at all times Disbursements – These are fees  aid out on behalf of the client for third party services, for which the company has no control – for example Ministers fees and Doctors Fees. Disbursements are required to be paid before the funeral takes place. The company reserves the right to delay the funeral if disbursements are not paid. Any additional expense involved will be charged to the client. Following the funeral the account will be sent to the person responsible for payment of the account. If the final account is to be paid by someone other than the person arranging the funeral it is the arrangers responsibility to ensure payment. The company cannot be responsible for collecting payment from a third party. The Funeral account must be settled within 21 days from the invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to signing. The company reserves the right to charge 2% interest on overdue accounts per month from payment date. Right of cancellation – Cancellation must be made in writing to the funeral director at anytime within a period of 14 days from signing the estimate of costs/terms and conditions.
