Fees and Settlement Arrangements

• Funeral Directors Charges: These are fees charged by the company for services rendered and products supplied. They include a proportion of overheads to ensure a high-quality, effective Funeral Service available 365 days a year.
• Disbursements: These are fees paid on behalf of the client for third-party services (e.g., minister’s fees and doctor’s fees) that the company cannot control.
  • Important: Disbursements must be paid before the funeral takes place. The company reserves the right to delay the funeral if disbursements are not settled. Any additional expenses incurred will be charged to the client.
• Final Account: Following the funeral, the account will be sent to the person responsible for payment. If the final account is to be paid by someone other than the person arranging the funeral, it is the arranger’s responsibility to ensure payment. The company cannot be held responsible for collecting payment from a third party.
• Payment Terms: The funeral account must be settled within 21 days from the invoice date unless alternative arrangements have been made prior to signing. The company reserves the right to charge 2% interest on overdue accounts per month from the payment date.

Right of Cancellation

Cancellation must be made in writing to the funeral director at any time within 14 days from signing the estimate of costs/terms and conditions.
